Who is Regular Joan?

Hello!  My name is Emily and I am a “Regular Joan” so to speak. No fancy theology background (or English, for that matter, sorry) but St. Joan of Arc was my first patron saint, so instead of a regular joe, I’m a regular joan!  I’m just a Catholic girl passionately pro-life trying to make sense of this world we live in.  I get paid to be an optometrist, which I love.  I am also a mom to three beautiful girls and a son, which I love more!  My hubby and I live in Idaho.

“Every man gives his life for what he believes. Every woman gives her life for what she believes. Sometimes people believe in little or nothing, and so they give their lives to little or nothing. One life is all we have, and we live it as we believe in living it…and then it’s gone. But to surrender who you are and to live without belief is more terrible than dying – even more terrible than dying young.”

I created this blog as a platform for the song (or a great poem) I wrote entitled, “I’m Here.”  God called me into the pro-life movement in this little way. Hope you enjoy my down to earth blog.
